What's your newpaper exactly ? I am writing an independant SimRacing newspaper for free and will be publishing it on either a weekly or fortnighly basis, and are planning to include race reports, as well as reviews of tracks and cars. If I could include your series, then I could make it one of the main reports.

| Welcome Dan, like you I am also 15. I started here last season, definitely suggest 1972 DRP to start of, once you understand the cars it becomes a very enjoyable mod Likewise is the BTCC, hard to get ultimate speed out but fairly good to start with and also quite easy to set up _________________ Alfaholic. 1999 German F3 1989 Italian Superturismo | |

| Here is the article:
HISTORICSIMRACING.ORG
The Historic Sim Racing Organization is a club fully supporting sim racing at what some may argue – its finest eras. Of course, the simulations used are household names to any sim racer, be it rFactor, but the mods may be a bit lower key, albeit much, MUCH more fun! The club runs the following championships:
1972 Deutsche Rundstrecken Pokal
This series is a German based championship running TC1, TC2 and TC3 class touring cars from the Historic G.T. & Touring Car mod raced around mainly period German tracks, with the odd meetings outside to visit nearby Belgium, Austria and the Netherlands, with 10 meetings in under 5 months, the championship will be cut throat! With 3 meetings already completed, the 4th round of the season is heading to Belgium for the 2nd visit to Zolder, for 24 laps to battle for the Rhein – Ruhr Pokal – Rennen, on the 13th February 2013. With Philippe Bousquet and Yannick Lampuré dominating the previous visit to the track, the pair managed to qualify over 0.7seconds ahead of their nearest challenger, and the pair also recording the top 2 spots respectively in both qualifying and the race, you would be hard pressed to bet against the 2 Frenchmen. Expect more fun, drama and defiantly some contact in this most competitive of historic touring car series! Read the issue on the 15th February for the race report!
1987 ADAC Supercup
Now, if you find touring cars boring, and prefer your racing to be loud, fast and brilliantly mad, then these Group C cars should not disappoint! A HSO mod, this championship is not scared to go past 200 mph! With legendary cars such as the Porsche 962C, Sauber – Mercedes C9, Jaguar XJR – 8 and the Lancia – Ferrari LC2, big, turbocharged engines and naturally aspirated engines go out for battle as what one could describe as flat out, balls out racing! The series may only race at Germany, but with only 2 meetings left, its fast becoming very close racing, with Guillaume Siebert taking both pole position and the win from Hockenheimring, he becomes the defined championship leader with 2 meetings to go, with 50 points, and a 8 point gap over Martin Audran, on 42. These two are set to become the championship contenders. 3rd position man is Oscar Hardwick, on 24 points, whom barring any miracles, is not in contention for the title. However, he has got to look after his 3rd position spot as within 14 points are Jean-Marie Plaçais, Lorenzo Arisi and JP Campmajo. The next meeting is from Diepholz on the 10th February 2013, and read the race report on the 15th February edition!
1988 RAC British Touring Car Championship
The Touring Car Legends mod brings us back onto British soil, and returning to legendary tracks such as Silverstone, Oulton Park, Donnington Park and Brands Hatch, this season also being joined by Snetterton, Thruxton and the Brimingham Superprix. With 3 classes, anyone can join, regardless of speed, and anyone from any Class can win the overall championship! With Class A being dominated with the battle between the almighty Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth, leaving the odd Holden Commodore, BMW 635 CSi and Toyota Supra to pick up the scraps in Class A. Class B is much more competitive, with BMW M3's and Alfa – Romeo 75's may be a little off the pace to fight for outright honors, but these fight for their own class prizes. The last class is Class C, where as of the current race, only one vehicle, the Toyota Corolla GT AE86 race at the back. Whilst easily overlooked, the racing in this class is close. At the previous meeting at Donnington Park, it was the 1 hour meeting on the 20th February 2013, where Jesper Taulborg took and absolutely dominating pole and win in the series, highlighting his sheer speed and his experience, seeing as he is one of the best drivers in the Touring Pro Series as well! This also means that Taulborg is leading the championship in his Class A Sierra, with 39 points. 6 points behind, with 33, Ole Marius Myrvold is leading Class C and is 2nd place overall. 3rd is Ben Paulet, Class B leader in his BMW M3, with 29 points. Never discount any driver, class or car!
1988 BRSCC Caterham Cup
Caterhams. The super lightweight machines capable of insane grip levels and speed and an idea club racing car! This series supports the BTCC,sharing the calender, and often races on the same night as well. Two races makes this cup different, as well as it is the only single make championship on the bill. The Superlight R500, provided by the exellent mod made by Major_Parts and Cubits is the car that will drive 1 of 13 drivers to victory. The previous meeting saw Guillaume Siebert take 2 wins to take the lead in the championship with 154 points, 2 points over JP Campmajo in 2nd. 21 points behind is David Jundt in 3rd. As of this moment, those 3 drivers seem the championship contenders, but as most single make championships show, the start will make or break a championship challenge. The next meeting for the Caterhams and the BTCC is on the 6th March 2013, and race reports out on the following issue.
1991 FIA Formula One World Championship
You really coudn't have a historic racing club without any type of single seaters, and Formula One is top of the bill! The F1-S-R 1991 mod is looking at a full years racing, 16 meetings around the globe, and with 3 races completed, 3 different racers have taken the top step of the podium, Frenchman Martin Audran won the first race, and with a 2nd place in the Brazilian Grand Prix, puts him in the lead of the Drivers Championship with 16 points. Guillaume Siebert is 2nd, with a 3rd place in United States Grand Prix and a win at the San Marino Grand Prix gives him 14 points. Mario Gassner is 3rd with 13 points, thanks of a 3rd at United States Grand Prix, and a win at Brazilian GP. The constructors is also just as close, with Lola dominating with 26 points. However, Brabham, Tyrell and Minardi are separated by 3 points, on 14, 13 and 11 respectively. The next meeting is at Monaco, the notoriouslly difficult circuit to keep it out of the barriers, let alone overtake, is set to challenge the drivers over 78 laps, on the 3rd February 2013. Don't wait for our race report of that meeting, it is going to be stellar! This is the end of our first paper, read again next week for details about running a racing team, and race reviews.
