Well chances are someone else will be in my car so it won't be me mowing the grass on lap 1 although I am quite good at it

My Ferrari is available for race #3. I will not be racing (even if my travel plans change). Good luck to whoever runs it.

Assuming I can't take the Ferrari myself, I'll patiently wait for someone to take it, and hopefully take their car.

Yep and then you have to have a typical Mansell paddy and swear like mad at your engineer!

Don't wish to make too much of an issue of this, but can I ask if there is a particular reason why Kevin is allowed the Ferrari, and I was not? Been refreshing the forum the last few days frantically in the hope someone with a car already would take the Ferrari, thus allowing me to take their free car, only because I was told before I was too fast for the Ferrari.

The drivers with a car for the season are not allowed to take cars which are free for only one race, so you wouldn't have been able to take their car anyway.

And the Ferrari is allowed for Kevin for the very simple reason that he's slower than you.

I've only done one race in these cars, and it went pretty badly. But that's your decision and I respect it. I'll keep refreshing and hope to find a free car I'm allowed to take.

I know, and only one race (+ the F1 79 race you did) doesn't give me a lot of data to determine which car is suitable for you, that is why I don't want to risk anything by giving you a Ferrari. We didn't spread the regular drivers and cars according to their levels to see "unknown" wild card drivers smoking the field in Ferrari/McLaren/Williams ....

Because Kevin sucks slightly less than I do...and you do not suck at all!

I have a very nice Williams setup if any of those drivers need it, ran a 1:22 for fun in the server :p

Give it a few races and you'll change your mind about that.

That's Q run, race setup is at 1:24.9 with fuel

BTW I asked because I haven't practiced seriously yet at Imola so I have no idea what the laptimes there look like.
