| Well i've had the pedals how long.....and the accelerator is squeaking like mad! Did the same with my previous wheel's pedals, Read in some places that a bit of WD40 spray does the job and stop the squeak, Would just like some other people's advice or what they did if they had a problem like this _________________ | |

| What pedals do you have? I have seen online instructions to fix Logitech Momo pedals, f.e., tell us what pedals you are using and maybe we know a fix _________________ | |

| Technically you should use proper contact/switch/electrical cleaner. You can use WD40 etc. in an emergency but it's not recommended. _________________ David PURLEY: décélération record -179.8G Le danger est réel, la peur est un choix! | |

| I don't know anything about those pedals, but I periodically opened and cleaned my old TM ones and I think they will probably be similar. The noise comes most probably from the spring and the dust around it. You will need to open it, extract the spring and clean everything. Then use lube oil for metals, as long as you can be sure you will not be greasing the pot (I don't know how it's mounted inside). If the noise comes from the pot, then there are specific cleaners but I think opening the pot is a PITA and not worth it when you can get a replacement. Here is a guide for Momo pedals, which are similar: http://web.axelero.hu/mozso/momo_e5.html If you happen to need cleaning the pot, there are lots of videos showing how (Specially for music and stereo devices), like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukA8Qy-M4fY Good luck P.D. I do not recommend those magic "sprays" as they solve it short term but then usually create a bigger problem by chemically reacting with the dust and grease, etc, and creating a much stiffer and annoying crutch of dirt on the joints. _________________ | |

| Hmmm sounds complicated! Lol, if I open the pedals will it void the warranty? Hoping it will just be the springs, Can I use wd40 on those or should I buy something else? Any brands you recommend? Bit nervous never done anything like this before!
Edit : Just seen your edit after I had posted, I'll stay away from the Wd40 then! _________________ | |

| Of course it will void warranty, but then again if they are under warranty what you should do first is ask the seller to fix it instead of doing it yourself _________________ | |
