Round 1 - United States GP [Jan 13th]

je suis sur la retransmission ( obligé d aller au lit sinon demain matin ca va piquer ) , qu un truc a dire super boulot les mecs , bravo Franky et Antoine pour les commentaires et grand bravo aussi a mon Ben qui devait gerer toute l intendance dans l ombre

au fait des labédan - goissen pas rapide y en a plein les amis

I did have the pleasure of a drive through penalty for not letting Greg pass fast enough. He caught me just before the main straight and I did not roll out of the throttle so stayed ahead of him through turn 3 (because the Ferrari is stupid fast on the straights and Greg did not catch me fast enough)...bang...hello nasty gram. Off to the pits I went.

Grand merci à Ben aussi qui est l'éminence grise (et muette) de ces retransmissions ! On essayera de faire mieux sur le mixage son la prochaine fois, là ma voix est trop forte et celle d'Antoine trop lointaine

concernant ma course j ai pris un bon départ j ai eu une belle bagarre avec Franck puis vers le 20 eme tour alors que mes pneus etaient bons j ai commencé a perdre completement la maitrise de la voiture et ca n a fait qu empirer jusqu a la fin .

cette course fut un chemin de croix pour moi , j ai encore tout a apprendre de cette voiture mais bon je désespere pas ca va venir j espere .


Martin nous la mise severe , quelle démonstration c est pas un bravo mais une ovation qu il lui faudrait
tres bon boulot de Lorenzo et Gui comme d habitude .

bravo a mon cher oncle qui a vraiment fait une belle course

j arranche le point de la 6 eme place mais mon dieu que ce fut dur

Thank you to the commentary team for the regular updates in English too, I'd have been pretty lost without them most of the time, mainly because I don't know many of the drivers currently.

Congrats to all finishers! Really hope I can join you sometime soon.

Ok race for me. At start Ferrari in front of me didn't move and I bent my front suspension a bit. Then on back straight I totally missed the braking spot and had to go straight. After getting back to track I was 24th.... 7th is ok but also painfully out of the points. Couldn't go any faster because of suspension damage. There were couple situations with back markers, one which could have ended us both race with higher damage settings, but overall I'm happy for racing standards of today.

I am sorry Mike I was doing my best to drive slowly but somehow your setup works that well that I made only one bigger mistake...one lap before end I ripped my front wing off...that time I was unfortunately more than one lap ahead of the rest of the field, so it did not change anything

Certes trop lointaine, mais pour quelqu'un qui est à 15 kms de chez moi, c'est pas mal.

Oui j'ai constaté cela en regardant la course commentée hier soir ...vraiment désolé de cette erreur stupide, surtout avec une retransmission en direct ... ça ne se renouvellera pas !

A propos de la retrans., sera t elle reconduite dans l'année ?

Not a great race for me, as I was alone most of the time. I quickly realized that I couldn't match the speed of the Larrousses in race conditions, and wasn't under any pressure coming from behind. As the fuel load went down the car felt better and better, and after pitting for fresh rubber at mid race, I could lap just a bit quicker than Lorenzo. Sadly I had a short freeze in one of the 90° corners, clipped the inside wall and lost my front wing. After a 30s stop for repairs, Mario took 3rd position for a while, until he pitted again, and I got my podium back.
I hope the curves of Interlagos will suit the BT59Y better.

No problem in traffic at all, well done everyone.

I couldn't have dream of such a good race

At first I have to thanks Lorenzo for his great help after my poor qualifying session from Thursday

Sometimes there are some races where all goes perfect, and yesterday's one was definitely one of them.
I made a decent start, fighting in the two first turn with Greg for the third place. Then I managed to overtake Gui for the second place, and finally Lorenzo, who facilitated the pass, to take the lead.
After that I had a good pace, well helped by the car which was perfect all along the race (thanks again Lorenzo ).
No fuel or tires issues, no strategy mistake, no lack of concentration, no fear of the wall , and a great help from all the lappers who were perfect each times As I said, a dream of a race, too bad it doesn't happen every times

Congrats to the podium and of course all finishers

And well done to the TV crew, except the sound issue, it is perfect

Meh, and I even reminded the drivers again as to which car/driver to take

What I really would like to know is where did I lose so much time in race trim when compared to qualifying. OK, I was (am) sick and under medication, but still I did consistent qualy laps 1s off the pole the day before, while in race trim I was 3s behind

Some people are better in the race than in qualify, for some others it's the other way round. It could be as simple as that
