I disagree with you Alessio, the Fondmetal is, in my opinion, a tad slower than the AGS, but definitely faster than the Coloni

I have no problem giving you the Coloni William, as nobody from the waiting list claimed it. I think i'm just going to drop the waiting list, it turns to be exactly like I predicted, people ask to be on it, and disappear.

Seconded. And look how Ben was performing with it, very consistent and even scared the McLarens at Imola

I don't mind having the slowest car on the grid. Who knows what can happen. Plus it will let me time to learn those cars. I can't imagine doing much better even with the best car

I tried both cars on the Sunday and I set a 1:24.8 in the Coloni and only 1:25.1 in the Fondmetal but I've just tried now and the Coloni is at 1:24.7 while Fondmetal is a 1:24.1 (could go faster, as I made two mistakes in the final sector). Fondmetal seems slightly better for fuel consumption, but the Coloni is really comfortable and easy to drive so it's probably a good car to learn from.

Looks like Karel's Ferrari will be available for round 7. Make sure to grease up the paddle shift...7 gears cause meltdowns.

im here im here. you have to understand us new guys have no idea what the process is like. what do i do now? i see the coloni looks free, but thats for the next race right? are any free for the season at this point?

The Coloni is free for the rest of the season, and you're first on the waiting list David, so do you want it ? That's your best chance to get a better car later

this is what i don't understand fully. is it better to be in a perminent car to move up, or stay on the wait list for one to open? (ie. is preference given to people who are already in lower cars?). what other criteria do you use when assigning cars? (previous races finished or not, position relative to car used?). i read earlier about the 3 chassis rule, so i'm hesitant to just jump in. sorry for all the questions, it is just difficult to make decisions without understanding all the ins and outs. i'll take all the advice i can get, if you were in my shoes what you do? i'll pretty much go with that ;P

I chose to asign cars that become free in priority to the regular drivers with very slow cars, to reward their "loyalty" for sticking with a bad car for a time. Drivers on the waiting list go after them in the priority order. Of course even if you are a regular driver, the car must match your level, if tomorrow a Williams becomes free no everybody will be allowed to claim it.

So if I were you, I'd take that Coloni and hope for a better car later this year if you want to race full time. If you don't, well you can still hope for good wild card rides, but within the 3 chassis/year rule.

What ever happen I hope it will be fast. If I come to be allow to race the only time I can Qualify this week is today because of a First Aid class saturday.

im starting to get it, thank you for explaining. i'm not picky, so i'll take what i can get. reading the pages in more detail, i dont want to jump william since he was asking about it for this race already. im an easy going guy, i was late getting to the post, are any other seats free for this event that he or i qualify for? so everyone can participate? ty for your time as always.

Same here, I won't be picky. I just want to know if I get to race or not, and if I do, in what car so I can hope to prepare enough in the last few hours before the qual.

The only available car now is the Coloni, and it's free for the season, not only for Magny Cours. David was on the waiting list, so if you're ok, you can take this car David.

Take it David if you want, I'll patiently wait my turn. I can still do some practice run anyway

ty, very happy to have a steady ride. the coloni will be a tough one to perform with, but im up for the challenge and will hopefully manage finishes.

I see that the ligier cars are available and I would like to get in one if that is possible. If it is possible maybe my friend David Jaques could be with me on that team since we practice together and work on setups together it would be a perfect situation for both of us. Please let me know and thanks for your time guys. Also could you make sure my name is on the waiting list.

You guys do realise that if you want to claim it, you should do so in the appropriate thread(The upcoming race)?

Because it will be for one single race only, and it will still count as having raced 1 out of 3 possible cars this season.
