IIRC there was that tip when the bar "level of details" or something shouldn't be at the maximum. It was supposed to help a lot (well, you won't gain the remaining 21 FPS with that )

I sure won't I'll try play with the rasterizers a bit. I seem to recall OGL was slightly better on track but it made the menus act a little strange or something

salut, par curiosité, je voudrais tester le mod, j'ai créé le setup sur gem, je lance l'exe et rapidement je me retrouve sur le bureau.
j'imagine que j'ai loupé quelque chose. une idée?

Wait... GPL is free nowadays?
Is installing easy though?
But too bad the Chaps are not part of the championship. My father has collected some diecast models, they look really good

Next up is installing the latest, 2.5.32 version of GEM+ (featuring IGOR) and install it on your fresh GPL install. Then, install the mod using GEM+, it's as easy as ABC

Not for someone that has never heard of things like that.

I typed GEM+ in Google, and there it is http://gem.ebi-service.de/downloads.html
To sum it up, if you don't have GPL yet :
1) Download GPL and its installer 2) Burn the .iso and install it following the read me instructions. 3) Install GEM+ on your fresh install 4) Download and install The 1967 GT Mod 5) Launch GEM+, click Carset and activate the 1967 Sportcar carset. 6) Drive

I tried tweaking all sorts of options with very little success. Still getting 15, maybe 20 feepees on the grid. Perhaps the mod is just heavy

rasterizers v2.0 ?
gpl 1.3 ?
details to 50% ?
anisotropic filtering in GEM set? maybe to 0 ? (trilinear)
with a 1,2ghz machine and a 2008 grafics card it must work.

Does the game have random mechanical failures?

Yes it does
Did you manage to install it with the links I gave you David? There are all the rasterizers you need in that installer

Not yet.
I've stumbled across videos like this one:
After playing rF, LFS, iR, RBR and GSC2012, I should try GPL aswell I guess.
The thing is I don't know what rasterizers are. And what if I added more mods later on?

They are DLL files and affect the way, the grafics engine calculates the grafics and is adapted from DX6 to DX9 (or so).
since it influence the hard code of GPL i doesnt influence gpl in any way, no mod, nothing. just upps the performance and compatibility

yeah that's right, anyway if you use the installer I provided you get the most recent rasts, so you're fine
Jens asked Jukka if he used them because Jukka seems to have performance issue, thats all.
Jens, by the way, why don't you enter?

I have to burn the iso file? I have some little experience with Demon Tools Lite, but I don't need it for this, do I?

Downloading the files now, but won't do anything before tomorrow, I've got work and league races.
Are the mechanical failures relying only on you reving the engine too high or misshift(eg shift too late) or does it happen that you randomly can get unlucky and the car breaks down without you doing anything wrong?
Can you also lose gears?

Ok I booked you in I was just checking your GPLrank, quite (very) close to mine indeed : http://gplrank.schuerkamp.de/php-pub/user.php?compareWith=1,1,23275,25301, although as far as I can remember you were a bit faster than me in race pace...
David, yes you do have to use daemon tools, so you don't have to burn the cd, just mount it You can't lose gears in GPL (that's in Nascar2003, another amazing Papyrus sim), but mechanical failure do happen, often when you rev too high, and sometimes for no reason at all

Luckily, I have that one, as I said.
I used it to install galges and eroges with it.
...
Oh wait, should I have said that?
NASCAR 2003, I've heard of the Group C races already.
Lose gears for now reason at all?

*Engine dies*
