| guys I was suspecting somethong was wrong with my G27 a few days ago after rearaging my strut for the pedals of my g27. The problem is that I've pressed (I mean its damaged because it was cought in the middle of 2 pieces of wood) the wire that comes of the pedal box to the shifter... so now my accelarator blinks.. its not steady sometimes loses power when I see in the controls panel... I had noticed that by looking at the rpm gauge... now its confirmed. So anyone can give me a help of what to do...? maybe do a ne wiring, or «chant» this one?... tks in advance... P.S. Now I know why you guys where gone after the corners at Hockenheim lol | |

| Maybe one of the wires is cut and makes irregular contact. If that's the case, cutting the whole thing and soldering anew is the only way to go. | |

Alberto... yes I think thats the case here... but where would I get those plugs? or someone to do the job? a electronic technician? or is there a guide for noobs? The only thing I soldered was guitar jacks... this looks too little. If anyone knows a link or something, I'll apreciate that. Tks | |

| I've got an old G25 with a cut USB cable. It's got some shielding around the wires but if I were to repair it, do I actually have to patch up the shielding as well or is it not so necessary? | |

| as long as the wires are kept apart Jukka,so they dont touch,i would put insulating tape round each wire to avoid them touching. | |

| I actually meant this kind of braided thing encasing all the wires. I suppose it's got something to do with interference reduction I have access to some solder heat shrink connectors, gonna try with those. | |

| To be honest if you are having such doubts then you probably lack the necessary knowledge to fix this right now. My advice would be to bring the cable to an specialist and have him cut and bypass the broken part with new solderings, etc. On any decent electronics (or even computer) shop they will do it perfectly. The shops that deal with and repair anything related to sound (Hi-Fi) are the ones where you will get a better job done. | |
