Car chases!!!

This thread is for car chases in TV and cinema. (insert screeching tire sound effect here) I'll start us off...

I remember being sat down to watch Le Mans and Bullit 10 years ago, when I was about 5, by my dad. This is the car chase I remember most from any movie

Good idea Jason !

Many people like the Bullit one, but although I'm a big McQueen fan tha car chase is not so great imho, very hollywoodish with clear streets and you can feel some moves have been practiced and rehearsed many times. That's why my favourite car chase is the one in French Connection :

It's a race, not a chase :p . Funny though all the similarities with old-time Indy racing in this scene. Even the pods' cockpits and headrest have a 1950s touch to it

You can watch the Tarantino's movie called Death Proof, a very special one, but with some great car chases, with nice cars

Death Proof not so great chases I found, but it deffo has one of the best crashes in the history of cinema !

In my opinion the last one is great

Here are the movie chases the marked my life and made me fall in love with cars:

First of all my all time favourite, Mad Max! All the scenes were filmed by stunts (Some even got injured) at high speeds, no fast-forward shit or tricks





Cinema Noir at its best! No motorfan should miss this quite unknown film:

For the fun of it, a comedy that gives a good laugh and has great car scenes



And finally, nice girls in my all-time favourite car, the Lambo Countach:



All Cannonball films are fun, and when at the end of the scene the Lambo takes off and leaves the pontiac in the dust is ... epic.
