Whatelse can I say about the race besides the fatal crash that resumes all that I feel about it??!!

All I can say is that I had a dreamteam, that worked very hard to win the race and for me, morally, they are the winners. We understood each other perfectly on TS (except for one moment with Martin :D , I guess he speaks english as fast as he drives cars lol! )

All I can say is thank you to HSO for the organisation, Gui and Martin for their invitation and cortesy, and professionalism during the race and Frankie and Antoine for their spanking on me after my crash during the broadcast (probably lol! ), if not, I would definitely deserve it

The crash and what I felt when noticing the wrong FFb will be in my mind for quite some time.... to replace the memories of the clutch/brake misfortune at Monaco :hihi:

Crying or Very sad
Very Happy
8ieme et 2ieme de classe c'est plutôt cool . Very Happy

Cool

Yes was lucky you did that mistake before me, Antoine quickly gave me the solution to get out of this mess after seeing how you did it, so thank you :D

Gui just watched the Replay the natural reaction when coming of the track
is to go forwards , not backwards halfway around the track ....
Glad i could be of service to you lol!

Well done to the winners and all finishers ... :champ:

It was also nice to see a GT40 in the race
Nice to see you finished your 1st Endurance race Alberto and Gianluca well done

As Olivier did not yet posted any topic... I'll give it a try.

First of all thanks a lot to the organization team. This was solid as usual!

Rfactor is DEAD, long live to rfactor 2, as far as I'm concerned Very Happy

I really appreciated this afternoon and the warm atmosphere of this HSO open event. Partnering with Olivier was kind of comfortable for me as he made my life easy. He told me what I have to do, offering me a good setup for the LOLA. This car is far from the pole in a single lap performance, but finally it was a good compromise in terms of tire wear and oil consumption. I took the car on the start but I was on 1st gear when I red GREEN FLAG and I flipped over. This put me at the back of the field. I tried hard to come back, but while lapping somebody in the straight I was kind of late to break in the fast bend in order to secure the overtake. Unfortunately, Samuel was breaking earlier in front of me and I touched him, my mistake.

I tried to be more conservative with the next overtakes and with the late relay we were at position 7 before the pit and 11 after, which was not too bad. However, I did not refuel the tank entirely, while my setup was with full load. I guess that by default it puts the tank to about 40l or so. Olivier took over and made a very consistent drive and did a refuel earlier than expected before driving for another hour. He put us from 11 to 9th position. I took over then and made a mistake in the loop in my first lap, which put me across the barrier. Again, Olivier helped me and guided me back on the track (un boulet ca se dit comment en anglais?). I did not drive that good but it was enough to maintain the position. I pitted after my run to give it back to Olivier who improved our position to 7th with a little help of the abandoning pilots (see all other posts).

I made the last relay and we ended up at that position. I'm proud of my co-pilot and of our performance in this rather medium car.

A final thanks to Frank and Antoine for their broadcast. A very interesting way to follow the race...

cheers

A++ et encore merci.

Hello,

3 months ago, after the race (it was a bit rFactor i ahve been doing and have not doing any rFactor since then) i have changed the engine values a bit. after that i have seen how easy the modding is.

what concerned was, that the water temeperature was always off the oil temperature. it toook MANY MANY runs, about 6 hours at lemans, to find values, which:

are possible to have an engine, that heats up on the straight and then is cooled sufficiently, by the high speed, means, that under full load at 90% maximum speed the engine reaches its criticla value and then it drops off again.

the same is for brake discs. there are many parameters but some are wriong. i had read about 25 different threads on the internet to find out more.
well, this is just one car.
the samei s for brake discs: at race start the admin said: be careful, cold brakes. but it was not affected.

i have made everything "right" so that it works in small and big courses, etc.

but only at one car.

if there is any possiblity, i would like to share my work about the real figures, so that high rpms will really affect engine lifetime, so that engine heat wil laffect lifetime.

so, if you have any contact to the makers of wscgt i would like to bespeak with them, if we could make this mod "perfect" Wink

will be a hell of a lot of work though.
