Alberto
I Tried Steves Car ,and the ZOL car and ....
I Get the same hdv mismatch as Steve when i try to connect to the HSO server ...

The server has the V2 mod physics and i have not tried anything new so something is not right somewhere
for the GR4 cars im guessing its a typo somewhere .... But i cant see it ... Wink

I Think We need a very quick patch or Steve and Adam Svoboda
will need to change to a car which uses the procar . hdv.. What a Face

Or could it just be that the Server will not allow cars with 2 different .hdv files :hum:

Strange, because even if the GR4 cars do not have the latest and correct physics, if the server and the official download has the same there shouldn't be any mismatches.

In any case, please note that in the 1980 season we are using for our championship there are NO Gr4 cars, all of them are PROCARS, so we shouldn't have any mismatch problems in the HSO races at all. Smile

Steve I just checked your car and it seems that somehow it ended up getting the GR4 HDV file, despite being in the 1980 season.

You can easily fix this by going to:

GameData\Vehicles\ProCar\ProCar\Kannacher GT Racing

And opening with notepad, word or wordpad the file called: "Kannacher GT.veh"

Inside it you will see this:

Quote :
//
// The first section defines what maps to load for the new vehicle skinning
// technology. The first line defines a "prefix" to be used for all generic maps.
// Currently, generic maps are used for the livery, wing, driver, driver arms,
// driver helmet, and pit crew. The second line will replace the default livery
// with the new specified, for the track specified. The format is as follows:
//
// DefaultLivery="PREFIX" // PREFIX is the base texture map name, assumed to be BMP unless specified
// PitCrewLivery="PREFIX" // This is only needed if it differs from the default livery PREFIX
// TrackLivery="TRACK, PREFIX" // TRACK is the track name as defined in the event GDB
// TrackLivery="TRACK, PREFIX" // For example, "2004_Toban"
// TrackLivery="TRACK, PREFIX" // You can have an infinite # of these lines
//

DefaultLivery="BMWM1_75.DDS"

HDVehicle=BMWM1_GR4.hdv
Graphics=BMWM1.gen
Spinner=BMWM1_Spinner.gen
GenString=MDBD111 // Used to generate GMT names in *.gen file
Sounds=BMWM1.sfx
Cameras=BMWM1_cams.cam // Defaults to cams.cfg in UserData directory
HeadPhysics=headphysics.ini // Affects driver eyepoint only
Cockpit=BMWM1_cockpitinfo.ini
Upgrades=BMWM1_Upgrades.ini

That's really weird. Did you do a clean install of rfactor lite plus the v2 procar mod as downloaded?

EDIT: I just joined the server with my #88 procar and had no problems, but yes, trying to usee your Kannacher GT car causes a mismatch. It seems that the problem is in the server, somehow the wrong GR4 file got uploaded, and also your car (As all others in the 1980 season) should use procar physics, even if they are identical to the GR4s :doh:

Carl what we need is plain and simply that the server gets updated with the HDV for those two cars, pointing at the PROCAR physics and not to the GR4 ones. Of course the GR4 physics in teh serve must be updated, but for now if all 1980 cars HDV are procars that will suffice.

same version i have carlo in fresh rfactor install,and it still gets mismatch,so there is either 2 seperate v2s floating around or server has different v2,the kannacher car is like it was few weeks ago,when monaco was impossible coming out of tunnel,the car hates kerbs again,massive oversteer,because of excessive body roll,if its not sorted i will have to miss sundays race till it is :top:

Je suis très réservé sur ma participation à ce championnat.

Je ne trouve pas beaucoup de plaisir à la conduite, sans doute trop difficile pour moi.

C'est dommage car je m'amusais beaucoup avec la version précédente de ce mod...

Pour cette course je ne serai pas présent. Sad

The setup can change the car a lot Philippe, give it a try. We might as well change some things for future races, but we need the feedback :top:

Damned aliens lol!

High 1:15s for me in race trim at most Suspect

I still feel that the car has too soft suspension and moves around too much, but if I make it harder it loses grip quickly and becomes much more nervous. I will have to think about a different approach to this :hum: but in faster tracks it seems to work OK, it's very slow ones like Doni or Monaco where I feel the car moves too much.

way too soft on front i think,body rolls too much,maybe add more options to increase front spring in setup :top:
