1984 Nürburgring All-Star Invitational Race

The inaugural meeting for the modern Grand Prix layout on the Nürburgring circuit in May 1984 is best remembered for its unique all-star race. Twenty of the world's greatest drivers were gathered by Mercedes who provided 20 equally prepared 190E 2.3 Group A touring cars. The lineup was one of the most impressive ever, with no less than 9 former World Champions (Brabham, Rosberg, Jones, Phil Hill, Hunt, Hulme, Surtees, Lauda and Scheckter), plus two soon-to-be WCs (Prost and Senna). Other starters included Sir Stirling Moss, Carlos Reutemann, Jacques Laffite, Elio de Angelis, ...etc.).

The good news for us historic simracers is that the exact field of this race is featured in the Touring Car Legends mod for rFactor \o/ ! But with the field limited to 20 cars, this race has to be an invitational one. Therefore, the cars will be attributed to the top posters of the HSO forum, a way to thank and reward those who contributed most to the life of the league and/or have been members since the beginning.

Schedule

Friday November 5th

8:00pm : Warm-up
8:50pm : Drivers’ briefing
9:00pm : Qualifying Shootout (see below)
9:30pm : Race Start (12 laps)

Qualifying Shootout : the grid for the race will be determined by a one-lap qualifying shootout. Drivers will take their turn on the track one at the time in the order of their car numbers and at the signal given by the admins in the chat. Chatting during this shootout session will be allowed and very much welcomed.

These drivers are required to confirm their presence or absence to the race. Nominated drivers not wanting to participate will be replaced by reserve drivers. Nominated drivers wishing to participate can also notify us which car among the 20 ones they wish to use.

C'est pas une histoire de Beethoven ou pas. Je ne supporte pas les sons aigus que crachent le jeu. C'est pour cela que j'ai laché l'open sur Oran Park, le DTM et que je ne me suis pas aligné sur le Ventoux. Les sons m'horripilant je ne roule pas du tout avec les voitures.
Et franchement il vaut largement mieux que Grégoire (par exemple) s'aligne plutot que moi. Le spectacle en sera de meilleure qualité.
Bon sur un autre mod je me serais surement aligné mais là c'est épidermique

Malheureusement je ne suis pas encore certain de pouvoir y participer pour cause de deplacement mais j'ai tout de même un petit espoir et je de toute façon je serai fixé avant la date butoir

Rhhaaa, j'ai flippé tout d'abord en lisant la présentation. Je me disais que bien sur je ne peux pas etre dans les "top posters" n'étant parmi vous que depuis moins d'un an. Pourtant, actuellement je suis surement parmi les 10 qui écrivent le plus (j'suis un bavard ... désolé ^^)

Et puis j'ai lu la suite, et je vois que je suis 3eme pilote de réserve ! Et comme plusieurs personnes de la première liste ont déjà refusé l'invitation, je devrais donc pouvoir m'inscrire.

C'est pourquoi je me permets de déjà choisir une voiture :

@ Yahia : tu fais partie des invités. Un gars poli comme toi ne va pas se permettre de refuser (ou de dire qu'il viendra et ne pas se montrer ... mais tu ne ferais pas ça hein mon Yahia ?! ). Je compte donc sans faute te voir à cette course. (c'est vrai, c'est honteux, c'est toi qui m'a branché sur HSO et depuis que j'y suis (depuis 10 mois !!) je ne t'ai jamais vu en course avec nous ... Faut se ressaisir monsieur le Marseillais. Rouler chez HSO, donc rouler avec les meilleurs est toujours gratifiant, meme si on est pas devant.

Quelqu'un sait il où je pourrais trouver des sons de Mercedes potable?
Si c'est le cas je vais pouvoir virer les sons de base plutot nulles et pouvoir participer au final.

Tu peux utiliser les sons d'une autre voiture d'un autre mod juste en copiant son fichier .sfx et en le renommant comme le .sfx de la Mercedes. Il faut juste que les fichiers audio soient présent dans ton install rF, dans leur repertoire d'origine, pas dans le repertoire des sons TCL.

Merci Guillaume mais j'ai déjà fait plusieurs fois la manip pour changer les sons du mod 71 (sur le Matra et l'Alfa) et certains du mod 73 (Ferrari et Cosworth).
Mais bon il me faudrait un son de 190 (Me et pas FW...Cherchez pas humour douteux) qui ressemble à un son de Merco.

Tiens faudrait aussi que je change les sons du 79 tant que j'y suis. Je vais faire celà ce soir et lui coller les sons du Cosworth du mod 75, ceux du Ferrari du mod 71 (même si pas du tout le bon moteur). Faut que je vérifie l'Alfa pour savoir si c'est le tippo 33 qui est dedans.
